BGSP in the Community

Extension Division

Continuing Education Credits
Teachers, social workers, nurses, mental health counselors and psychologists are all able to obtain their continuing education credits at BGSP via:
Conferences
• Workshops
• Supervisory groups
• Semester-long courses that present current developments in theory, practice and research
The One-Year Program

As a part of its commitment to mental health professionals, the Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. BGSP maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

In addition BGSP is recognized by the National Board for Certified Counselors to offer continuing education for National Certified Counselors. The Graduate School adheres to NBCC continuing education guidelines.

The Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis is authorized by the Department of Education of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to be a Professional Development Provider for educators. The Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis is authorized to offer continuing education credits for nursing home administrators.

The National Association of Social Workers, Massachusetts Nurses Association, American Psychiatric Association and Board of Marriage and Family Counselors have granted continuing education credit for past and present courses, workshops and conferences.

Licensed psychoanalysts may request certificates of attendance to document continuing education.
