At the request of participants in our first coaching workshop, this program is designed to address the difficulties accompanying emotions that are often stirred up in coaching sessions.  Bring your cases involving feelings of: anxiety, anger, hopelessness, grandiosity, fear, ambivalence, and anything else.  The workshop leaders will serve as case consultants and facilitate a climate of peer support.  Therapists interested in pursuing coaching practice are also welcome to participate.  A six session case consultation group will be subsequently offered for people who have completed any of the introductory coaching workshops.

Objectives:

This workshop is designed to help the participant:

  1.  Observe and practice a few basic psychoanalytic techniques relevant to coaching interventions
  2.  Begin to explore the applications of these techniques in your work
  3. Formulate questions about possible unconscious dynamics in your practice, past, present, or future
