Opening bid: $50 Cape Cod Guided Walking Fishing Excursion

You and your guest will take a guided walking fishing excursion at the Brewster flats on Cape Cod – most likely the most beautiful place you have ever fished in your life. Leaving just before first light, your tour will take anywhere from 3-5 hours. The Brewster flats are often "sight fished," when the fish are actually seen on the surface or in the water before the cast is made. When the tides go out, massive sand bars are exposed that stretch out into Cape Cod bay for a mile or so, and this concentrates the fish into shallow areas. The flats can be fly fished or conventionally fished. All gear will be provided, except for sunglasses, which are a must. Be prepared to walk to reach the prime fishing area; bring your wading shoes, old sneakers, or just your bare feet and plan to walk right in to ankle to waist high water, depending on where the fish are.
Your guides will be Jon Kelley, who has fished these flats for almost 30 years and knows them as well as anyone in the world, and/or Max Cavallaro, who cautions, "If you hook into a fish the size of your arm or leg in knee deep water, trust me, your head will explode with excitement, but be warned...once you get your first fish on the flats, the guides are not responsible for any fishing addictions or compulsions that may follow, though we can refer you to some very qualified professionals/tackle shops."
This item is available on the following dates: June 8th, 9th, or 28th, July 5th, 6th, 7th, 26th or 27th, August 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, or 25th.

Opening bid: $125 Three Framed Drawings by
Illustrator/Artist Tom Feelings
These three, handsomely framed drawings by 1960's African-American artist/illustrator Tom Feelings reflect the artist's acclaim for, in his own words, "portraying the contemporary Negro scene in its true identity," in order to correct the distortions characteristic of African-American depictions of the time. These pieces were most likely drawn during Feelings' freelance period from 1959 to 1964, when Feelings drew subjects from the African American people of his Brooklyn community. According to Penguin Books, "Collectors such as Maya Angelou, Roberta Flack and Cicely Tyson have paintings by Mr. Feelings in their private collections." Our volunteer art expert reports that these drawings are valued at close to $350 each. Don't miss this rare opportunity to take home a piece of 1960's African-American history.
