ONE-YEAR PROGRAM
Program Description
The One-Year Program is designed to enrich the work of clinical practitioners and professionals in various disciplines by introducing them to modern psychoanalytic principles, theories and techniques. Participants can expect to enhance their therapeutic skills, generate new insights about themselves and their work and develop more effective ways of interacting with their clientele.
Classes focus on case material and emphasize the application of a psycho-dynamically informed approach. Both experiential process and more traditional teaching methods are used to promote learning. Students progress through the program as a group.
Two consecutive classes are offered on one evening, on an every other week basis, each semester. The four classes cover the maturational process, transference and resistance, analytic listening, and countertransference. A certificate of completion is awarded at the conclusion of the program. Students may enter the program in the fall or the spring. Tuition is $1000 per semester.
